UnitingCare acknowledges the significance of NAIDOC Week for the First Nation’s People and is proud to support NAIDOC Week in all communities. This year UnitingCare will hold a number of events across the state to celebrate NAIDOC week including a stall at the Musgrave Park Family Fun Day. The stall will offer free give-aways, an exciting prize draw and a chance to find out more about our services and how you could benefit from them.
We recognise the value of connecting in community and so the Musgrave Park Family Fun Day will be the perfect event for you to come along to have a friendly chat, and share some tucker with us.
There will be information on our Foster and Kinship Care services, Time for Grandparents program and much more, including the opportunity to talk to our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander recruitment advisor about working at UnitingCare. There will be something for everyone.
Kids can complete arts and crafts with painting and weaving activities in the youth corner.
There will be an Elders chill out zone with comfortable seating for Elders to come in and talk to Aunty Dulcie Bronsch and other Aboriginal and Torres Strait Elders and staff.
Everyone is welcome for a yarn with a cup of tea or coffee. We have lots of give-aways for everyone and a prize draw to win two tickets to the Broncos vs Sea Eagles game on September 2nd.
