Our aim is to help you learn to become more financially resilient; educate you about your rights and responsibilities in relation to credit and debt issues; and connect you with other financial resources and services.

If you require immediate financial help you can call the National Debt Helpline on 1800 007 007, which we operate in Queensland. One of our dedicated financial counsellors will guide you through your options and if necessary, book an appointment to meet face to face.

Our service operates across Queensland so we are experienced with all kinds of financial problems. Our team is committed to each caller, providing the information you need to empower you to make the right choices in response to your unique situation.

As well as providing financial support to the general public, we also work closely with financial institutions, energy companies and debt recovery organisations to educate them on issues of financial hardship and consumer rights. We work with our clients and these organisations to gain the best outcome.

As part of UnitingCare Queensland, the mission of UnitingCare Community is to improve the health and wellbeing of individuals, families and communities as we: Reach out to people in need; speak out for fairness and justice; and care with compassion, innovation and wisdom.

UnitingCare Community offers a wide range of counselling and support services to individuals and families, including Lifeline’s crisis support line 13 11 14 and disability services.
