About Bookfest

Lifeline Bookfest Rockhampton (+$2 Clothing Sale) is the largest second  hand book sale in Central Queensland and one of the  fundraising events that support the 24 hour Lifeline 13 11 14 Crisis Support Line.

For this year’s event there are more than 10 tonnes of pre-loved books put out for sale  and include a vast array of books from romance, cookbooks, sports, literature, humour, large print, biography, paperback, novels, fiction, educational, children’s and  magazines priced between 20c to $5.

The event also sell a range of pre-loved quality clothes  ranging from ladies, men’s, children, summer and winter clothing for just $2 each.

Catering facilities will be available at the event, selling burgers, hotdogs, cold drinks, tea and coffee for when you need a break from bargain hunting.

All funds raised at the Bookfest support Lifeline and UnitingCare Community programs for individuals, families and children. In Queensland, UnitingCare Community runs Lifeline services such as the 13 11 14 Crisis Support Service and post-disaster Community Recovery Program as well as Lifeline Shops and events in Queensland.

  • We encourage everyone to bring your own bags – with prices ranging from 20c to $5 you will be surprised by how many books you will end up   taking home.
  • Payment - Cash and EFTPOS
