Counselling

Our counselling service helps everyday people who struggle with day-to-day life to make positive changes in their life. You may need a one-off session with us to for some helpful guidance on something small or you may want long term help to come to terms with a difficult situation, either way, where we can help, we always do. 

Our counsellors talk with you face-to-face for six to 12 sessions and longer if required about common problems people in our community face such as:

  • Mental health
  • Abuse or trauma
  • Domestic violence
  • Difficult relationship separations
  • Concerns for children
  • Suicidal thoughts or attempts
  • Physical health issues like chronic pain
  • Workplace bullying and harassment
  • Bereavement or grief and loss

We focus our counselling services on offering help to people in a way that meets their personal needs. While counselling is usually on a one-on-one basis, we also provide group counselling programs on-site or together with other organisations. We make sure that every person we help can receive access counselling in a way that makes them feel comfortable, empowered and supported.

In Brisbane, we also offer the Journeys Group for women who are experiencing difficult relationships and domestic violence. (Find out more about our domestic violence services local to you). This group brings together women from all walks of life that are living with domestic violence to share stories, progress and move forward with resilience.
