Children, young people and their families are at the centre of our service design and delivery.
We support children, young people and their families across Queensland to live safe, healthy and productive lives through the delivery of services that are flexible and responsive to their individual needs.
Children, young people and their families are at the heart of the design and delivery of our services which include:
- Family and parenting services
- Family law support
- Services to address issues of domestic and family violence
- Early childhood education and care
- Child protection and supported accommodation.
We are working alongside clients, local communities, other service providers and governments to help build thriving and resilient communities so that every Queenslander can have the opportunity to reach their potential.
UnitingCare Queensland Child and Family Strategy
UnitingCare Queensland is a leader in child and family services with a presence right across the State. Children, young people and their families are at the centre of the design and delivery of our services. The UnitingCare Queensland Child and Family Strategy sets the direction for our child and family services over the period 2016-2020. It outlines our vision and purpose, identifies key current and emerging trends and aligns our priorities and aspirations to meet the needs of some of Queensland’s most vulnerable children and their families.
Our focus for families and children is to strengthen the family unit and build capacity in parents to keep their children safe and nurtured.
Our Family Law Support programs work with families to protect essential bonds between parents and their child in times of difficulty or separation.
We work together to understand the circumstances and causes of domestic violence, plan for the future and support children who are at risk of neglect or abuse due to domestic violence.
We understand the basic need for every human to be nurtured and to grow with support in a family unit. Unfortunately there are times where it is not an option for children to remain with their biological family.
Providing young people with the means to live engaging lives and build resilience is key to our focus when supporting our youth.
Gold Coast Homelessness Service is situated on the southern end of the Gold Coast at Bilinga and provides accommodation and support services to families and single people across the Gold Coast region.
Life in the Outback can have its challenges. Of course, that’s never stopped you from getting on with life, but when you’re trying to raise young ones, it’s good to know that someone’s working closely with you to bring the right family support, early education and care solutions within reach.
